Much more than one paw or jaw size fits all, with Reactive, Obedience, Adolescent, Rescue (ROAR) Dog Training, you and your dog can learn:
ROAR Dog Training is not promising you all the answers and solutions in one or a few sessions or classes. Dog training is a collaborative approach, between the dog trainer, owner and dog to achieve the desired training outcomes.
There will be work and homework to do on your behalf. ROAR Dog training trains the owner, to train their own dog. This requires consistency in what you learn to be applied and practised moving forward. Depending on your dog training goals, this can be daily, over months or years to achieve progress and continuous improvement. Training dogs is non-stop, yet every interaction with your dog is a training opportunity, however subtle.
Depending on your goals, you can achieve short or long term obedience and behaviour modification goals. It all comes down to how much time you have and are willing to invest under the guidance of ROAR Dog Training’s methodologies and instructions.
Commonly, there is no such thing as a perfectly trained dog (perhaps in the military and the like). In certain circumstances, yes. Through consistency in your dog training, your dog will conform and sometimes even surprise you with the training you have put in place. This is very important for moments when it really matters to keep your dog safe and out of harm (and vet bills!) In other scenarios, such as events that have previously triggered your dog, a lot seems to go out the window, however, a lot of fractions and responses to instilled commands can also be retained.
Dog training takes time, patience, persistence, effort, repetition, practice and consistency. This is particularly highlighted where this is a history of unruliness, lack of leadership, rescue trauma and dog reactivity. There is no quick fix. Even attending Obedience training, with no prior dog training or previous trauma, is reliant on your commitment to be consistent to get long term results.
Whilst you will see some instant results for new training, commands and methodologies, practice and consistency are also required by you. The responsibility is retained by the owner to commit the time to get results. Depending on the dog, this can be as little as 10 minutes per day. ROAR Dog Training trains the owner, to train your own dog. The results are measurable and defined by your commitment. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for further information.
